Can we change or pause services later?

Yes. Services are tailored to each client’s needs and may evolve over time. They can be modified or paused by mutual agreement, and either party may end the arrangement with written notice.

Do you provide emergency or around-the-clock support?

No. Services are offered during agreed-upon hours and do not include 24/7 or emergency assistance. In the event of an emergency, please call 911. Our role is to provide regular, scheduled support and to keep your family informed between visits and check-ins.

How do we get started, and is there a cost to talk?

The first conversation is always free. Every engagement begins with a simple conversation to understand your situation and determine the right level of support. Heartland offers two levels of service at a flat monthly rate, and we will share specific pricing during that first conversation so you can decide what makes sense for you. To begin, just request a consultation.

How will I stay informed about how things are going?

You can expect a structured summary each week, with additional updates as needed. If any concern comes up, we reach out to you and your family promptly so everyone stays informed in a timely manner. Open communication is central to what we do.

Is Heartland a medical or home health care service?

No. Heartland is a non-medical, concierge-style service. We do not provide medical care, diagnosis, or treatment, administer medication, provide clinical services, or make legal or financial decisions. Our role is consistent interaction, thoughtful observation, and clear communication. All medical concerns should be directed to licensed healthcare providers.

Is our information kept confidential?

Yes. All client information is treated as confidential and shared only with authorized individuals.

What areas do you serve?

Heartland serves the greater La Crosse area and the Coulee Region, including La Crosse, Onalaska, Holmen, West Salem, La Crescent (MN), and Sparta. If you are not sure whether we serve your area, please reach out and ask.

What is the difference between the Essential and Enhanced levels?

Both levels include a weekly family summary and ongoing communication as needed. Essential Concierge provides scheduled check-ins by phone or video twice a week. Enhanced Concierge adds a weekly in-person visit, for families who want face-to-face support along with regular check-ins. We will help you choose the level that fits your situation during your first conversation.
